'Modern, sophisticated and practical!'
the words clients used to describe the Cap d'Antibes house they wished to create. To achieve their various objectives, the Sobens turned to architect and interior design team CarterTyberghein with whom they had worked successfully when decorating their London family home.
'We wanted to mix cool stone floors with wood, and light cottons and linens in contrasting patterns and extures.' We showed CarterTyberghein a number of ideas we had seen... fortunately, they managed to capture the look, even if we weren't sure precisely how to express it.'
In the living room, as elsewhere, Pierre de Bourgogne flooring has been used, 'It looks like the stone you find at the seaside,' says Patrick Tyberghein, 'blues and naturals complete the coastal feel.'
